So pure and fresh compared to most Szekszárd reds, without a hint of heaviness. Just a bit of funk, but it’s quite precise. Some green aromas from the stem. Round, balanced, hardly medium-bodied, with the support of enough tannins. Not a complex wine, but such a pure rendition of the variety, and again, the focus is on drinkability and honesty. The towers of Eger are mentioned visually to refer to ’Tornyos vineyand’ (meaning Vineyard of towers).

About the label: We believe wine and art belong together. We asked seven contemporary Hungarian writers and poets to draw inspiration from the premium wines of Vylyan Winery. From the essence of poems and short stories the creating hand conjured up artistic drawings, and we now present the result to the world on the Vylyan bottles. The drawings reflect the soul of the wines on paper, as the artists see them. You can read here the story of Kékfrankos.
