Have you done Medoc marathon? Have you run in Lanzarote, on the Canary Islands? Then it is time to try the relaxed, bohemian running race in Villány. Rosé Marathon takes place this Saturday, 13 July in the southest wine region of Hungary. The only 3 km„race” starts at 16.30, and participants have to wear at least one pink piece of clothes. The 1st prizeis a night for 2 at Diófa Guest House (Gere Tamás & Zsolt Winery) with 3 bottles of rosé wine, the 2nd is a tasting at Bock Cellar with 2 bottles of rosé wines, while the 3rd is a wine tasting at Gere Attila Winery plus a bottle of rosé. Groups can also enter, the winner team will receive a selection of 18 bottles! Special prize goes to the „most rosé runner”, for the contestant in the most creative garment. For professional runners a half-marathon is also available. The running race is accompanied by a rosé wine festival in Villány centre with several exhibitors (12–13 July). The festival is free admission, visitors pay for the wines. Concerts and other programmes are also provided.
