Lajver is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful wine estates of Hungary. The modern winery building gently fits into the scenery of the surrounding hills and terraces, and the use of wood, glass and concrete makes the man made plant look natural, as it had always been there.
The bistro restaurant of Lajver offers exciting dishes made of local and seasonal ingredients, while the rooms boast breath-taking view of the vineyards.
“Hütte” is a German word for a buffet offering hot drinks especially in a ski resort. At Lajver guests do not need to ski to “earn the reward” of a hot drink: they are welcome with “glühwein” or mulled wine, the typical hot wine drink of the winter seasoned with sweet spices.
The ticket costs 9900 HUF (27 euros) and includes the welcome drink, a main course, a dessert and certainly the party with DJ and fire juggler.
Lajver is located near Szekszárd, in the south-west of Hungary, 173 kilometres from Budapest, it takes less then 2 hours to get there via M6.
