Indigenous grape varieties, statistics on export, food and wine pairings, award winning wines, wine hotels – whatever you are looking for, you can find it on Hungarianwines.eu, or if you can’t, contact us and we will dig up the piece of information you need. Whether you want to import an organic Hungarian wine or you are looking for the best price bag-in-box product, we are here to find you the appropriate estate. If you plan a wine trip to Hungary, we can recommend you hotels, restaurants, wineries according to your preferences. Hungarianwines.eu is independent from the Hungarian government. We work with 40 wineries who pay a small subscribtion fee to support the project. We work only with quality wineries, whom we know personally and whom we are proud of.
We have organized WebWineWriting contest since 2019, and this year we have launched video category for the first time to reflect the current needs and trends. Do not hesitate, enter your video today!
Prizes
- The absolute winner of all 4 categories (the one who collects the most votes among the finalists) will win an all inclusive study tour in Hungary on 23–26 August, including flight ticket from and to a European destination.
- The category winner article will be posted on hungarianwines.eu – in case the article has a Hungarian theme.
- The category winner will receive an electronic badge that he or she can display on the website or blog.
- The winner of Hungarianwines.eu category will receive a 3 bottle selection of Hungarian wines.
- The winner of Hungarianwines.eu category can participate in the all inclusive study tour in Hungary on 23–26 August, excluding flight ticket.
- The finalists of Hungarianwines.eu category will receive a 2 bottles selection of Hungarian wines.
- All category winners will get invitation to the award ceremony taking place on 25 August 2022 in Pannonhalma Archabbey Winery (Hungary).

Charlie Arturaola
Sommelier, film star, wine expert and first of all a great communicator in five languages, all around the globe. In 2010, Arturaola starred in “El Camino del Vino,” a fictionalized documentary. He has been honored with the 2012 International Wine and Spirits Competition Communicator of the Year Award. A member of the American, the Worldwide, and the Italian Sommelier Associations, Arturaola is a certified sommelier with an advanced degree from the L’Ecole du Vin a Bordeaux
Ignacio Sainz de Medrano Otero
Musician, photographer and marketing manager: “I’m on my journey to learn all languages of creativity. I founded Strawberry Moon PR agency (https://www.nachostax.com/strawberrymoon) so I can help artists and wine companies with social media management and storytelling.”
Noah Kite
Musician, a featured contestant of Wine Spectator wine video contest. Alongside the musical tumult, the steady voice of Kite never loses his cool despite the searing intimacy of the song’s content. He thoughtfully guides us through the story of his relationship, in as well as struggles with friends, substances, sex and codependency. He has been clearly affected by the proceedings, but is determined to stare into them without blinking.
