The iconic winery of Villány wine region has a few years’ experience of making fine chocolate to match their outstanding wines like Gere Kopar or Gere Solus. One of their recent creations, Gere-chocoMe Pecan Walnut Raffinée has just received an important acknowledgement!

Grand Taste is an international chocolate competition in Britain, where this year the jury tasted 12.777 samples. The process of evaluation is a blind tasting, just like with the wines. The experts evaluate aromas, flavours, texture and of course complexity. The highest prize is the 3 star result, and this year only 205 products received this precious award.

One of the jury members wrote the following evaluation about it: „This is one of the most interesting chocolates we tasted this year. We had to taste it again and again to experience how exceptional the scale of the aromas. This chocolate is top category. The grape seed extract gives a pleasant acidity, the salt and pepper give balance to it and all of these meets in the long, fresh aftertaste. Unusual and tasty.”
