Villány, the southernmost wine region of Hungary is famous for Villányi Franc, it has been the “pilgrimage destination” of lovers of the variety, and this year Villány is organizing the very first Cabernet Franc international wine contest of the world. Entries are welcome until 20 May! Entry categories: all Cabernet Franc single-varietal wines, Cabernet Franc-based
blends and older vintages – not only from Europe but also from overseas are welcome.
If you are an experienced wine expert and passionate about the variety, you can apply to be a jury member and taste together with renowned wine experts including Cees van Casteren MW from the Netherlands.
