Etyeki Kúria Konkrét Chardonnay 2023

With 1063 entries at the 4th edition, Winelovers Wine Awards have become the largest wine competition organized in Hungary. Samples came from 13 countries, 8 wines received grand gold medal, six from Hungary, one from Romania and one from Italy. Taste the top 100 Hungarian wines (and many more) of the contest in a grandiose event on 27 September in the 5-star Corinthia Hotel Budapest. Etyeki Kúria Konkrét Chardonnay 2023 is a gold winner with 91 points!

Etyeki Kúria Konkrét Chardonnay 2023

The state-of-the-art estate of Etyek–Buda wine region has collected 5 medals at the latest edition of the influential international wine contest held in Budapest at the end of June. The highest score went to the wine, which embodies everything the team thinks about Chardonnay variety.
Sándor Mérész, the chief winemaker has a line of artisan wines with exciting labels like a natural Királyleányka, a Zenit or an orange wine. The latest member of the family is a zesty, juicy, extravagant Chardonnay. The name refers to the procedure: after careful cool pressing, the must fermented in concrete tank, matured on the fine lees for twelve months and aged for another three months after bottling. The word ‘konkrét’ is used figuratively as well, just like in English, and in Hungarian it has a use in slang meaning ‘exactly’.
The wine will soon get sold out.

Etyeki Kúria invites Pilates fans to a morning session on 7 September. The professional Pilates lesson will take place in the vineyard, and certainly the lesson will be followed by a healthy brunch. On the table guests will find fresh fruits, local cheeses, freshly baked ciabatta and croissant, spreads with Mediterranean vegetables, water and Etyeki Kúria Pláne Frizzante.
