Sustainable fine dining in the vineyard

This table below is waiting for those food and wine connoisseurs, who care about our planet and who are seeking something unique, the “one in a million” wine event. As we reported earlier this year, Kristinus Wine Estate is proceeding well with its conversion into a biodynamic estate. With its 100 hectares,Kristinus will be the largest biodynamic winery in Hungary. And now it joined forces with top catering company, Terra Catering to offer high end, personalized events for small groups.

This COVID era presents new challanges to all of us. The usual festivals and mass events are over, we must put up with less events with less participants. As a consequence, winelovers expect more from the few events they are able to attend. Kristinus Wine Estate and Terra Catering have found the solution: a day for a small group of maximum 12 people full of experiences, Michelin star quality dishes and unforgettable wines.

Luxury in the kitchen, in the management, in the cellar

Furthermore, founder and CEO Terra Catering Falko Siecke has been working in the luxury sector for more than 25 years with places like the 3 Michelin star Dieter Müller. Florian Zaruba, CEO of Kristinus is devoted to make outstanding wines, therefore their attention towards sustainable viticulture is part of the concept to make wines with character. In our article with the title “No more gas masks” Florian explains why Kristinus has decided to convert into biodynamic.

Picnic, reception between the barrels and much more

Most of us have already had picnic in a vineyard, we know how enchanting it is to sit among the vines and to enjoy the fermented fruit of those very vines. However, Kristinus with Terra Catering offers more, the stunning picnic is just the beginning. In fact, the joy starts in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, from where clients are taken with a Mercedes minivan to the estate (about 2.5 hours) with special gourmet snack for the travel. Personal guide, welcome drink, accommodation in one of the 10 lovely rooms of Kristinus, welcome gift in the room, tractor tour in and picnic in the vineyard, reception in the barrel ageing cellar, mentalist performance, fine dining dinner, unlimitedconsumption of drinks after dinner and a wooden case of Kristinus wines to take home – these are all included in the package, moreover it can be upgraded with yachting or a chopper ride.
