Top Hungarian results

The best Hungarian wine of the jubilee Mundus Vini is a sweet Tokaj from Pannon Tokaj winery (6 puttonyos, 2014), and the estate collected another gold for the 2013 vintage of the same Tokaji Aszú. Varga Winery got 4 gold medals, all for white wines, 3 of them are naturally sweet wines. Hungary’s great results for natural sweet wines are not surprising for winelovers, but this summer some precious red wines were awarded as well, confirming the potential of the country to produce exceptional red wines. Vesztergombi Cellar, a family winery from Szekszárd wine region received 3 gold medals: Vesztergombi Turul Cuvée 2015 and 2016 vintages and Csaba Cuvée 2016.
