The largest indoor tasting of Hungary announced: 15 February

More than 220 wineries under one roof – the really large roof of Millenáris Park– for only one day: this is the 11th edition of Borjour Magnum. This wine event was launched in 2010, and since then Borjour Magnum has gained reputation as the walkabout tasting with the widest selection of Hungarian wineries.

If the event was a magnum in the previous years, it is going to be a „jeroboam” this year with masterclasses dedicated for example to Villányi Franc and Tokaj. A group of foreign professionals (sommeliers, wine buyers, journalists) are invited to discover the colourful world of Hungarian wines. Some of the exhibitors: Áts Károly, Demetervin, Grand Tokaj (from Tokaj), Frittmann (from Kunság), Gere Tamás & Zsolt (from Villány), Lajvér Wine Estate (from Szekszárd), Tóth Ferenc (from Eger) or Tornai Winery from Somló.

Quality wineries like IWC star Tornai

Borjour Magnum will showcase wines from well known and less known wineries as well. Tornai, one of Borjour exhibitors is the winery with the unparallel success at International Wine Challenge: they have won IWC Trophy 4 times in 5 years! „We got our fourth International Wine Challenge Trophy award with the 2017 Top Selection Grófi Hárslevelű. Such a result is unprecedented in Hungary and is also rare in the world”– commented the winery. The trophy winner of the last edition of IWC is Top Selection Grófi Hárslevelű, 2017. „Rich and honeyed, yet has precision. With a saline edge to the vital pear and peach fruit and a hint of sweetness. Big and balanced,Lovely stuff!” – as the judges of IWC evaluated the wine.
