Have you ever dared to taste sour lungs? It’s time!

Sauska estate – in fact two estates, one in red wine focused Villány and one in Tokaj – is famous for its precise, elegant, world-class wines. One of the latest evidences: Wine & Spirit US wine magazine (2019 December issue) published a collection of wine notes of top 24 wines out of 84 Hungarian wines tasted throughout the past year. Sauska was represented by 4 wines in the top 24: Sauska Rosé 2018 (Best Buy), Sauska Cuvée 7 Villány 2015, Sauska Kékfrankos Villány 2015 (Best Buy), Kadarka Villány 2016 (Best Buy). The Villány estate operates a restaurant as well with renowned chef Attila Bicsár, who has just added the peculiarity mentioned in the title to the new seasonal menu. Sour lung is one of the most controversial food phenomenon of all time, and not only in Hungary. On our new menu, chef Attila Bicsár is attempting to refine the classic recipe by adding veal tongue, cream, and capers, serving it with traditional Schwӓbisch schupfnudeln. The result is completely insane, mesmerizing, comforting and fresh, working beautifully with our crisp Tokaj whites. Hungarian country gourmet at its best!” So if you are brave enough, visit Sauska 48!
