Advent Zwack Open with 50 wines

A distillery within the boundaries of a capital? Yes, Budapest boasts a legendary distillery producing the famous herb liquor, Unicum for two centuries. The distillery has a museum with tasting oppurtinity well worth visiting, but 30 November is day when visitors will have double reason to take the tram to Soroksári street: the wine branch of the family company will hold a portfolio tasting showcasing around 50 wines from 10 wineries. Zwack wine distribution works with smaller scale family wineries, where quality and tradititions are the main focus. Gere Attila Winery is a family winery founded by Attila Gere, who is still the head of the winery, though his daughter, Andrea Gere has taken over many of the managing duties. Their emblematic bordeaux blend wine, Kopar is available for tasting at this event, thus their exhibition booth is a must! It is made only in the best years from selected grapes from the best vineyards of Villány (Kopár, Csillagvölgy, Konkoly, Ördögárok). The wine is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. On average it receives a 16–18 month long ageing in barriques. Now the 2015 vintage is on sale.

Tickets cost 6500 HUF, include tasting of all the wines and a bottle of Portugieser from Nyolcas winery, Eger.

Tickets should be purchased in advance
