Another 93 points to Heumann La Trinità 2019
Cabernet Franc from Villány – outstanding in every vintage
This Villányi Franc received 93 points from Markus del Monego MW a year ago, and now we share the great news that Andreas Larsson Best Sommelier of the World gave exactly the same scores a month ago. What is more, Adrian van Velsen Swiss critic rated the wine 94 points, just the previous vintage! Heumann wines are available in several countries, and in Budapest you can enjoy them paired with food at Chef’s Table at Michelin star Costes Downtown restaurant. Now we are sharing Andreas Larsson’s wine notes under the photo.

Andreas Larsson’s wine notes
Heumann La Trinità 2019, 93 pts
It is a medium-deep ruby red colour. The nose offers fragrant red fruit, pepper, aromatic herbs, tobacco leaf, and mild oak. The palate is dense with a modest extraction, grainy tannin, fresh acidity, herb-infused red fruit, and cassis, with a long and layered finish. It is a dense wine with a satisfactory level of drinkability.
Grape: Cabernet Franc
Heumann Lagona 2018, 92 pts
Medium deep ruby red colour with some evolution. Fragrant nose offering herb-infused dark fruit and cassis with sage, mint and aniseed, a mild hint of oak and butterscotch underneath. Dense palate with youthful but ripe extract, layers of crunchy dark fruit, modest extraction and oak leading to a long lingering finish.
Grapes: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Kékfrankos, Merlot, Syrah
Heumann Terra Tartaro 2018, 91 pts
Dark ruby red core and a lighter mature rim. Some meaty and peppery notes with ripe dark fruit and slight oak presence. Dense palate, still a youthful texture but well balanced with a fresh backbone, spice and liquorice-infused dark fruit with a long and muscular finish.
Grapes: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
