Blues, jubilee and Little Prince

Sabar Wine House is an ever active, ever creative, ever playful winery in Badacsony wine region. Now, that smaller outdoor events are allowed, annual Sabar blues festival is announced. On 3–4 July the wine house awaits guests with five blues concerts, street food and of course great Sabar wines. For example with Tóti 750 Olaszrizling, a wine made to commemorate the 750th birthday of the village Káptalantóti in gorgeous Balaton Uplands. The wine is 100% Olaszrizling, and only 1270 bottles were made – the date when the village was first mentioned in a written document. Floral nose with summer green fruits and green herbs, which appear on the palate as well. Lemon grass and a hint of rosemary, which emphasizes the mineral character of the wine. A layered wine with vivacious acidity, gooseberry and green apple notes, and the typical bitter almond of the variety. ‘Kisherceg’ (literally Little Prince) is also a novelty of the winery, a botrytised Rhine Riesling with dried tropical fruits, mainly pineapple and some orange marmalade. Honey, brittle and date in this complex, amazing sweet wine.
