Christmas lights on Badacsony mountain
For the first time ever Badacsony vineyards are decorated with a giant Christmas tree shaped light bulb garland. The festive decoration is meant to draw attention to the famous wine region of Balaton in winter. The village is always busy in summer, autumn is also crowded with visitors of the popular harvest festival, but winter was considered a dead season for places around the lake. Winemakers and restaurant owners emphasise that “Badacsony is open”, places await visitors also in the cold months.
