Mouth watering Sauvignon Blanc with silver shine

The Checz international wine contest, Grand Prix Vinex was organized this year for the 25th time. Altogether 710 samples were evaluated from 13 countries. Hungary won 3 gold medals: Grand Tokaj 5 puttonyos aszú 2013 (the best Hungarian wine at the contest), Grand Tokaj Tokaji Szamorodni 2013 and Chateau Teleki Kékfrankos 2015 by Csányi Winery. Apart from the golds, 17 silver medals were awarded to Hungary. Haraszthy Winery from Etyek won three of the silver medals: Sir Irsai, Haraszhy Rosé and Sauvignon Blanc 2017. The Sauvignon is made with batonnage and short new barrel ageing, and the result is unforgettable: “This delectable Sauvignon Blanc tempts the drinker with hints of gooseberry and kiwi framed exquisitely with citrus undertones. Upon drinking, subtle acidity is balanced beautifully with hints of mint and spices. A long and luxurious aftertaste brings fruit flavours to the fore.”
