Junibor, an association uniting young winemakers, is organizing an online charity auction. The process is simple: the auction takes place on the Facebook-page of Junibor at 7 pm on 8th April. More than 40 wineriesoffered their special wines for the noble cause: the total income of the auction goes to the foundation of Bethesda Children’s Hospital. Wine packages are prepared with a starting price, and participants can bid in comment. Dúzsi Cabernet Franc Super Premium 2017 is in the rosé package, and definitely one of the most exciting bottles. The family winery places special emphasis on rosé wines, and this wine expresses their philosophy: rosés can be super elegant and can represent high quality. “We believe that rosé can be as complex as a great white or red wine. We want to raise the prestige of rosés with this wine.” Grapes were picked at the end of October, and some berries were affected by botrytis cinerea, therefore the wine has some botrytis. The majority of the wine was aged for 6 months in new, 300 L oak barrel, and a smaller portion was aged for 9 months. A full bodied, complex rosé wine with the characteristics of Cabernet Franc.
