Technology: It is a much warmer vintage than in the previous year 2020, but we think that thanks to both the viticultural and oenological works and the right harvest date, the Eger character of the wine, the cool and fruity character of the Pinot Noir, characterizes this wine very nicely. For 2021 we experimented with several barrels and got some nice results, but we felt that the different barrels complemented each other nicely in this case, so this year we made a Pinot noir.
All of the wine comes from our Pinot Noir vineyard in the Steiner vineyard, we find that this vineyard on our estate produces a much higher quality Pinot than any other. We have fermented the wines in tank with pump over. After malolactic fermentation we have aged the wines in 225 and 500 litre Hungarian and French barrels.

Description

“It starts with a nice ruby red colour and an oily viscosity in the glass. Aromas of dried black cherries, spicy cherry jam and a hint of white chocolate character. The palate is dominated by fresh cherry flavours, with the addition of a tart-acidic character of redcurrant. The alcohol has a warming effect. Its firm tannins and brisk acidity give the wine a taut structure, but this gives it longevity.” Description by Adél Bernáth-Ulcz
