Summer tasting at the Danube

Summer tasting at the Danube

50 wines will be presented by 12 wineries on 26 July in Budapest. Kopaszi-gát (’Kopaszi dam’) is a fancy, new location of Budapest. Wine bars, restaurants, plenty of green places – an ideal place for recreation on the south of Budapest. The Hungarian Winelover team organized its first summer afterwork tasting here in June, and since the event proved to be a great success, they will organize it again in Cactus Juice gastro pub. Wineries like Béres Vineyard and Winery (Tokaj), Tornai Winery (Somló), Dúzsi Winery (Szekszárd) will display their wines. Tickets cost 22 euros and include some food and mineral water besides the unlimited sampling of wines. If you participate, do not miss the new vintage of Lőcse Furmint, the flagship dry Furmint of Béres. ’11 vintage was chosen among the top 100 best buy wines by Wine & Spirit magazine and rated 89 scores by Wine Enthusiast magazine. A full bodied, elegant Furmint with almond notes, firm acidity and minerality. Elegant vanilla notes resulting from new oak on the nose. When tasting, the mineral terroir notes due to the vulcanic soil can be detected besides the new oak character.”(Béres Lőcse Furmint 2013)
