Watch out! Hun Rosés are coming!

Watch out! Hun Rosés are coming!

Harpers British wine and spirit journal published and article by Jo Gilbert on Wednesday just after Vinisud mediterranean wine exhibition to report on latest rosé trends. Elizabeth Gabay MW, author of the new book for professionals (Rose: Understanding the Pink Wine Revolution) gives her opinion during the expo. She says that “while France is still the leader in terms of quality rosé production, growth is also coming from places like Hungary, Turkey, Greece, Australia, Italy and Spain, with great results coming from experimentation with natural yeasts, aging in amphora, barrel aging and long skin contact to produce darker styles.” The photo of Ms Gabay is taken just in front of the Hungarian stand at Vinisud where Villányi Franc wines were presented. Elizabeth Gabay poured some Hungarian rosé wines at her masterclasses at Vinisud (for example from Gere Tamas & Zsolt Winery , made of indigenous Kadarka grape).
