Wine of the Weekend: Paulus Generosa Gold Extra Dry
Borjour! Jó napot! Have a good day! We have, because the whole weekend is ahead of us, let’s celebrate with some bubblies!
Paulus Wine House is a relatively new winery founded in 2012, and its series of success has started recently – but now Paulus seems to be unstoppable. The Best Olaszrizling of Hungary (VinAgora International Wine Competition 2020), the Best Sauvignon Blanc in Hungary (Winelovers 100 Best Hungarian Wines 2020), Best Buy Sauvignon Blanc (VinCE Magazine, September, 2020), Gold Zenit 2019 gold medal at VinAgora 2020, Gold Zenit 2018 – selected for the embassies by the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Affairs – just a few of recent accolades.
The world’s first Generosa sparkling wine
Paulus team has a passion for sparkling wines as well, and they are well-known for their juicy, lovely, easy to drink and moderate priced bubblies. Paulus is the first to use Generosa grape for sparkling, so why not taste this pioneer wine? The vinification method is known as ‘Asti method’. “The sparkling wine shows all the distinct notes of the variety both on the nose and on the palate – floral and grapey with vibrant acidity. Due to the process and the variety the wine promises a unique, adventurous experience from the very first sip.” And the retail price? Around 5 euros!
Have a nice weekend!
