Why popcorns?

Frittmann Winery often posts thirst quenching, lovely photos, and popcorn has appeared a couple of times. Probably because the photographer simply likes popcorns, but they also look nice and express lightness. What is more, did you know that there is a diet based on popcorn? If they are air-popped and unbattered, a 100-gram serving has only about 360 calories, and 100 gram is a lot, it takes a while to munch all.

Why Sauvignon Blanc?

There are hardly any wine enthusiasts, who are not keen on this variety. The 3rd most planted white grape variety of the world, and with reason, of course, just think of the elegant Loire wines, the juicy, gooseberry-like New Zealand wines, and also the sweet Sauternes wines from Bordeaux.
In Hungary, there are around 900 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc. Frittmann is a family winery in Kunság wine region with the second generation fully on board, and their Sauvignon Blanc is the one that explains why we love this grape. “In keeping with the Kunság wine region, our version showcases its fruity side: the nose is reminiscent of luscious tropical fruits such as passion fruit and lime.”

How to accomplish the Popcorn Diet?

Well, Sauvignon Blanc has moderate alcohol, therefore less calories. What is more, due to its intense aromas, it is also enjoyable in a “spritz”. Spritz or “fröccs” as we say is wine diluted with carbonated water. We have a whole dictionary of spritzes depending on the proportion of wine and water. “Sport Fröccs” is for example only one portion of wine with 4 portions of soda water – ideal for moderate sport activities.
