Celebrate Sauvignon Blanc Day today!
6 May is the day of Sauvignon Blanc, the 3rd most widely planted white grape of the world. It can be easy going, charming, refreshing and Sauvignon Blanc is also capable of giving serious wines reflecting the terroir. Easy to recognize due to its distinctive notes of gooseberry, fennel, elderberry flower, grass, asparagus and tropical fruits. Mátra, the largest mountainous wine region of Hungary has ideal vineyards for the variety, no wonder Dubicz Winery and Vineyard has two Savignon Blanc wines: an entry level fresh one and a more complex one called Dubicz 1014 Sauvignon Blanc.
Wherever you live in Europe, you can order Dubicz and other Hungarian wines from Winelovers Webshop. Check out shipment prices here.
Dubicz 1014 Sauvignon Blanc 2021
The current vintage of this beauty, 2021 won gold medal at the latest edition of VinAgora international wine competition. The wine is made with reductive technology to retain the bright, fruity notes of the variety. Typical gooseberry and elderflower notes, zesty, refreshing acidity. 1014 in the name stands for the height of Kékes peak, the highest point of Mátra mountain (and Hungary), since 1014 wines represent the highest quality within Dubicz portfolio.
