Only one little barrel
New release Egri Pinot Noir Superior from Tóth Ferenc Winery
Eger is often dubbed as the “Burgundy of Hungary” because of the similar climate and the latitude. What is more, Cistercian monks from Burgundy planted the Burgundian varieties in Eger. Tóth Ferenc Winery has released a very limited edition Pinot from a tiny parcel in Steiner vineyard.
Tóth Ferenc Egri Pinot Noir Superior 2020 aged in a small oak barrel made of French wood by a Hungarian cooper. Fermentation took place in stainless steel, then the ageing lasted for half a year. Since the hand picked grape from the small parcel filled just one barrel, only 248 numbered bottles are available.
