Picturesque wine festival at the Danube Bend

Danube Bend is a curve of the river Danube, its most important town is Visegrád, a historic place with a breathtaking castle on top of the mountain. The Danube Blend is on the list to become a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Nagymaros – the other pearl of the bend

Nagymaros is a small town opposite of Visegrád, on the other bank of the Danube. The fascination town is a popular destination for bikers and hikers, an ideal place for holdiday. 20 August is a national holiday in Hungary, the Constitution of Hungary and the foundation of the country by our first king, Saint Stephen is celebrated on this day, fireworks light the sky in every town.

15 wineries under the chestnut trees

Both evenings (Saturday and Sunday) music bands will entertain with highly qualified singers. The fireworks take place here on Saturday, not on the 20th, like in the capital of Hungary. Before the fireworks (21.15) the traditional lantern manifestation will amuse visitors on the river. Under the shadows of the old chestnut trees of the main square winelovers can taste wines from all over the country. Nagymaros wine festival welcomes 15 wineries from 11 different wine regions:
