Taste gold winner Gere Tamás & Zsolt RedY in the Castle of Siklós

The 8th Portugieser du Monde results are announced: 84 wines entered from 7 countries – it is a great number considering that Portugueser is a lesser known variety cultivated only in a few countries. 4 Champion awards and 18 gold medals (11 gold medal winners are from Hungary).

Gere Tamás & Zsolt RedY 2020 is one of the gold winners, no wonder, we anticipated the success in some of our posts earlier. Villányi RedY wines are always Portugieser based, easy going, fruity wines to attrack the young generations(for example the Y generation). Gere Zsolt RedY is always a fruit driven, cheerful, spicy and refreshing. The gold winner 2020 blend contains Portugieser 60%, Kékfrankos 30%, Kadarka 10%. The current vintage is 2021 with the same proportion of the varieties.
