2020 vintage: sumptuous fruitiness

Life changed in 2020, the unimaginable became reality – and wine estates were also struck by the effects of the pandemic. Yet, many of us also benefited from the obligatory lockdown. As Gere team says: due to the closure of the restaurant, chefs and waiters also worked in the vineyard, people got closer to each other. “Since the kitchen staff participated in the harvest for Kopar, their bond became stronger with the iconic wine of the estate.”

The wine fermented with a selected local yeast from Villány, 70% aged in new and 30% aged in second use 300 L medium toast Hungarian oak barrel .
