We celebrate Hungary’s constitution, and on this day we also remember István I. Bread and Wine Festival, Siófok, Balaton 16–20 August
Siófok is the southern capital of Europe’s largest lake. The town is always busy with holiday makers, but these days the centre and the boat station will be even busier, because the largest summer festival will take place. Folklore and popular world music, folk dance, family programs, a fair/flea market and gastronomic experiences will be available. Guests can also look forward to the consecration of bread, choosing of the city’s wine and of course, fireworks to end the night on Sunday (22.00). Before the fireworks we strongly recommend the show one one of the most talented Hungarian world music band called Kerekes Band.
The event is free.
If you happen to visit the festival, we suggest you to visit some wineries of the South Balaton region, for example the state of art modern Kristinus winery in Kéthely and Garamvári Vineyard (Winemaker of the Year 2016 and Winery of the Year 2016 in Balatonboglár).
