Our “cover boy”

The protagonist of our cover photo above is Dúzsi Szekszárdi Kékfrankos 2017. Kékfrankos is the most widely planted black grape of Hungary and many people believe that this grape has the potential to rise up to the top grapes of the world. It has already made its fortune in Austria with the name Blaufrankisch. As Novel Wine recommends, you will like it if you are a fun of Loire red wines. “The family winery celebrate this indigenous variety with a sun-ripe, raspberry-hue red wine full of rich black cherries, allspice and fresh red fruit. Matured in oak for a few months just to soften out the tannin and allowed to mature in bottle before drinking at its finest.”
