RoVinHud – as the name suggests – is a „winy reincarnation” of Robin Hood, the legendary rebel, who helped the poor. Zoltán Szövérdfi-Szép, the brain and the engine behind RoVinHud annual wine event has been working tirelessly to collect fund to help people with disabilities. I am proud to be part of the story, since Zoltán got inspirations from an event I used to organize, and also, I was there at the birth, I participated in the very first edition along with Jancis Robinson, the star of the show. Now, after 10 years I will be there again! Come, taste and help!

Date and time: 15–17 November, 2024 (Friday: 16.00–21.00, Saturday: 11.00–21.00, Sunday: 11.00–18.00)
Venue: Hotel Timișoara, Timișoara city, Romania
What happens? The event is a walk-around wine exhibition with more than 30 wineries, plus masterclasses in various topics each day of the event.

And why the name, why RoVinHud? Simple: it is a Romanian AND Hungarian wine (vin) event for charity, like „Robin Hood”. (The city of Timișoara has a significant population of Hungarian people, including Zoltán, the chief organizer, this is why Hungarian nationality appears here).

Aromatic, easy going white wines, juicy, crispy rosé wines, majestic, gracious, bottle fermented sparkling wines and stunning red wines – you can all get from the largest quality winery of Villány, the „Hungarian Mediterranean” wine region.
