Super 12 lists contain the wines that the Circle of Hungarian Winewriters consider the best. As we wrote the day before yesterday, after the nominating and voting period, a blind tasting takes place. I am a founding member of the Circle (Ágnes Németh, the editor of Hungarianwines.eu) and I participated in this tasting. According to the rules we can give only one 10 score to the whites and another 10 to the reds. I am really proud: I gave my 10s to the winners, Villa Sandahl and Géza Balla.

The most wines of the 24 came from Villány and Szekszárd (4-4), then from Tokaj (3) and Badacsony, Eger and Mátra (2-2). 18 of the wines are single varietal wines, 6 are blends. As for the grape varieties, the most used ones: Furmint and Olaszrizling (4-4), Cabernet Franc (3) and Rhine Riesling (2).
