Balaton Wine & Gourmet on 21–24 September in Veszprém
Taste VinAgora gold winner Garamvári Sínai Cabernet
Michelin star and other top restaurants will offer their meals along with wineries of Balaton wine region in Veszprém, the Cultural Capital of Europe. The event has already started, but you can still join on Saturday or Sunday – Veszprém is only 80 minutes’ drive from Budapest.

How to get to Veszprém: by car via M7 and route 8 (80 minutes), by train with Bakony InterCity from Budapest Kelenföld railway station 8 and a short walk)

Wine from a holy land
Garamvári Sínai Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is not only a VinAgora gold winner, it was also selected the Best Red Wine of Lake Balaton last summer.
The vineyard, Sínai mountain takes its name from the Bible and it is the most prestigious vineyard of the estate planted in 1997, the altitude is 224 metres. There is strict yield control and the resulting fruit goes to the best wines of the winery. The Cabernet Sauvignon is aged in first and second use barriques and large barrels for 20 months, the barrel notes are finely integrated. Plums, blackberry, fine spices, chocolate, tobacco, velvety structure, medium plus body, complex finish. And the price? It costs 6550 HUF, only around 17 euros!
