Catharsis in the glass

Wine of the Weekend

“Like in the best jazz music the catharsis, the different varieties melt into unified harmony in our top-quality red blend, the Superior Bikavér. The characteristic Kékfrankos, spicy Syrah, inimitable Pinot Noir, always faithful Cabernet Franc and the velvety Merlot’s heavenly music will show up in every sip” – as we can read on the website of Kovács Nimród Winery of Eger wine region.

KNW Jazz 2017 is among the top Bikavér wines of the latest issue of VinCE Magazine with 16.30 points (out of 20), and the tasters were seemingly impressed by the wine: “Vivid purple colour. Mostly spicy notes on the nose with some smoky tones and also cocoa powder, roasted nuts, plum and sour cherry. Velvety sip, medium body with good, elevating acidity. The palate is also dominated by oaky and spicy notes with black pepper and eucalyptus. Slight bitterness in the finish.”
