Geese, Spa and Kamocsay Premium Wines

St Martin Roman bishop has a historic relation to Hungary – he was born in Savaria, a Roman province, which is now Szombahely, a town on the west of Hungary. Therefore St Martin and his legend (hiding amond the geese because he did not want to become a bishop) has a special importance for us. St Martin Wine Festival in Danubius Hotel Gellért is held every year – this year on 7–10 November –, and this is the time of the year when we celebrate new vintage wines. The hotel is adjacent to the world famous Gellért Spa, so it is highly advised to combine your wine tasting with some leisure in the magnificent swimming hall. The afterparty of the festival also takes place in that architectural wonder. As for the wine festival, there will be around 50-50 exhibitors both on Friday and Saturday (not the same ones). Ákos Kamocsay, chief winemaker of Hilltop and his premium wines will also be presented, and the full bodied, complex white wines of this line are simply unmissable. Kamocsay Ihlet Cuvée 2017, one of the Kamocsay Premium wines, is a blend of Traminer, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, full bodied, rich, thick and astonishingly aromatic. „Vintage 2017 is all about roundness, ripeness and deep structure – so is Inspiration Cuvée. Huge pleasure – literally.”
