Rosé now and forever

Rosalia Festival is a 3 day open air festival in Budapest dedicated exclusively to rosé wines. From 31 May to 2 June the venue – ’Városliget’, (’City Park’) – awaits visitors with around 80 exhibitors: some top restaurants like the new favourite Gléda and many outstanding wineries from all over Hungary. Eszterbauer from Szekszárd is a must to visit to taste his Nero rosé, Dúzsi also from Szekszárd is the so called Rosé King with a wide range of single varietal rosé wines, Teleki from Villány with their super elegant Teleki Tradíció, a méthod traditionelle sparkling wine and Frittmann from Kunság wine region is another obligatory stop. The winery has been already selected Winery of the Year and Winemaker of the Year, and recently they have been given „The Favourite of Customers” title by Príma supermarket chain. Frittmann Winery is situated in the town of Soltvarkert, about 1.5 hours drive from Budapest, and the estate has a wine shop and some guest rooms to stay. If you are there, visit Szent Korona Cukrászda (’Holy Crown’ Confectionery) to taste their artisan ice cream along with a fresh and crispy Frittmann Rosé Cuvée!„Vibrant and vigorous fruity scent, spicy notes. Rich rosé with dynamic acids and low alcohol content. A well-balanced and easy-to-love wine.” The event is admission free, you only have to pay for the tasting glass.
