Krisztina Csetvei Mór Királyleányka

Little Princess with power to enchant you

Krisztina Csetvei’s wines in more and more places & countries

Királyleányka (literally ‘Little Princess’) is an indigenous grape variety of the Carpathian Basin. This is the wine in the picture. The lady in the cover photo is Krisztina Csetvei – a dedicated and talented winemaker, a “perpetum mobile” activist, a hyper creative brain, a wife and mother with a huge heart.

Kriszti has just announced happily that her Királyleányka 2021 is available at Zengő wine bar, a trendy meeting place in Budapest. The grape was harvested by hand under Vértes mountanis, between Mór and Csókakő, in a breathtaking place. After gentle pressing vinification was quick, fermentation and ageing took place in stainless steel under controlled temperature. “Pale straw yellow colour. Fresh, medium intense nose with yellow flesh fruits. The palate features fresh grapey flavours, tropical fruits (mango, papaya, lime) and white flowers. Great balance of body and alcohol. A light hearted, cheerful wine with peach in the aftertaste.”
