Double 3 pack Egri Bikavér from Tóth Ferenc Winery

As the winery comments: the 2nd bottle of each wine is to share it with your friends. All the three wines are Bikavér wines, which means that they comply with the Egri Bikavér regulations, but each of them is vinified in a different way. The pack contains the following wines:

– Egri Bikavér 2020 x 2

A blend of Kékfrankos, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot. The grapes for the base wines were harvested at full maturity with high must sugar content. Each variety was harvested separately at the right time for the variety. The grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks after crushing and destemming for about 20 days. Each base wine was decanted into oak barrels of different sizes and aged for 15 months.

– Egri Bikavér Selection 2018 x 2

A blend of Kékfrankos, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot. Grapes were harvested at full ripeness. After destemming and light crush fermentation in 150 hl stainless steel tanks for 24-30 days. Maceration with pump over, after fermentation the grape juice was pressed and left to settle 2 weeks. Base wines were put into different size oak barrels and aged for 20 months. After blending wine was bottled in spring 2022. Full bodied, ripe, fruity wine with a long finish.

– Várvédő Egri Bikavér Superior 2018 x 2

A complex, full bodied Egri Bikavér Superior blend of a hot vintage, selecting the best base wines of the winery. All base wines were aged separately in the best suitable size – 2.25, 5 and 20 hectolitres – Hungarian oak for 24 months and additional half a year blent, before bottling.
