Berliner Wine Trophy: 86 Hungarian medals
Vesztergombi: 5 gold, Bock 4 gold incl a Grand Gold
The Berlin wine contest is quite popular among the Hungarian wine producers, they enter for every contest with great impetus. This year Hungary ranks the 5th with its 86 medals among the 27 countries. Vesztergombi Cellar from Szekszárd won not less, but 5 gold medals! The achievement of Bock Wineryfrom Villány is also outstanding: 4 gold medals including a Grand Gold!
Last year at Berliner Wine Trophy summer tasting Hungary was the 6th, though back then there were more participating countries, namely 32. In the last edition (2024, winter tasting) Hungary was also the 6th among 36 countries, with 146 medals.
This year’s top 10 ranking is the following: Italy (364), Germany (322), Spain (2011), Austria (87), Hungary (86), Portugal (74), Czech Republic (27), Australia (25), Luxemburg (20) and Moldova (20).
