Is it raining in Budapest? Time for sparkling!

„All in” sparkling tasting today at DiVino Gozsdu wine bar

DiVino Gozsdu wine bar is right in the heart of the bustling party district of Budapest. The wine selection is great, plus the wine bar organizes events from time to time. Today at 6 pm a bubbly tasting will take place with some wines from Champagne and with some Hungarian méthode traditionnelle sparkling wines. Since DiVino represent young winemakers’ association called Junibor, you will have a chance to meet some young winemakers personally. They will share their thoughts on their new vintages and the harvest and of course will answer every questions. The following wineries will be represented personally from the wineries today.

Sauska – sparkling Tokaj

Sauska has a rosé and a white méthode traditionnelle sparkling wine, both from Tokaj wine region. The Rosé Extra Brut has only 5% Pinot Noir, still it has a lovely pale pink colour. Furmint is the dominant in the blend with its 63%, and the 23% Chardonnay with 9% Hárslevelű make it more complex and elegant. Lovely acidity.

Frittmann – „thousand” pleasures

As we wrote several times, Frittmann Gold is a unique sparkling wine, since it is made 100% of Ezerjó, an indigenous Hungarian grape, which has never been used for méthode traditionelle sparkling wine before. Péter Frittmann can tell much more about this charming sparkling wine.

Price and details

6 winemakers, at least 10 sparkling wines to taste for 3500 HUF (11 euros), today. It starts at 6 pm and the official tasting lasts only 2 hours, so hurry up!
