The bigger, the better: Béres Magnum Dry Furmint

2016 was a great vintage, therefore Béres Vineyard and Winery bottled their No1 Furmint from Lőcse vineyard in magnum bottle as well, apart from the usual bottle size. The nose shows yellow flesh fruits and lovely toasty aromas resulted from the barrel ageing. The palate is full of flavours of apple, pear, vanilla and spicy notes – the consequence is complex and structured. Vibrant acidity, minerality, full body and long finish. And as János Jarecsni winemaker says, the present harvest is also promising, the fruit was healthy and fully ripened, plus they expect many botrytised berries as well. The winemaker also expects lovely acid structure in 2019 vintage wines. Béres wines are available in many corners of the world, and if you happen to come to Budapest, you can stay them in many restaurants, like Prime Steak & Wine, DNB Budapest, Aum Asian restaurant or MÁK.
