TÓTHÉK Picnic on 22 July in Eger
Tóth Ferenc Winery & sunset & happiness
What is a TÓTHÉK Picnic like? Tóthék means “the Tóths” and it refers to the family of Tóth Ferenc Winery. This is what they say about the picnic: “We imagined a place on Síkhegy vineyard, under the poplar tree. We pictured a great place under the tree with sunbeds, a huge telescope, a pretty well, soft music, delicious bits to munch, great wines – of course – and watching the sunset together.”
“When you arrive, we will greet you with a glass of chilled wine. You settle down in the shadow or in a sunny place, as you wish with your company. You look around, take a deep breath, you will see and feel that this place is somehow magic, it sets you free and you can leave the weekdays behind. Then you can choose a good bottle of wine, some cheese to pair with. Walk or lie down, you won’t even realize when suddenly the sun starts setting. Try this unique feeling with us, the summer won’t last forever!”

Tóth Ferenc Egri Csillag 2022
Grape varieties: Leányka, Olaszrizling, Királyleányka and a touch of Muscat Ottonel
Vinification: The grapes were harvested separately at the optimal ripeness level of each. Some were processed destemmed while some in whole bunches. Fermentation at controlled, low temperature. Maturation on the lees until the end of November.
Tasting notes: Straw yellow colour. Intense nose with white horehound (Marrubium vulgare), candies and a hint of Muscat notes. After a while white flesh fruits appear. The palate also follows the sweetish character of the nose, however the refreshing acidity places fruitiness in focus. Citrus fruits, pear, juicy peach and long finish. (Tasting note by Adél Bernát-Ulcz from CsokiLaBor).
Available: Tóth Ferenc Winery (Eger), Best of Hungary UK (United Kingdom), Ungarische Weine (Germany),Winelovers Webshop (all over Europe)
