New release sparkling wine by Garamvári Vineyard

Vivante – the French word means ‘lively’, ‘living’, and how lively this new sparkling wines is! Vibrant fruitiness, full of live, refreshing and invigorating – even though it is not a greenhorn, it aged with the lees in bottle for 5 years! What is more, this méthode traditionnelle sparkling wine has not received any dosage, so it is brut nature, even though this style is quite unusual in Hungary. As Garamvári team comments: a new sparkling wine, a new era.

Legendary legacy in good hands

Garamvári Vineyard founded by Vencel Garamvári is undoubtedly a legendary winery holding both the prestigious titles of Hungary: Winemaker of the Year (2006) and Winery of the Year (in the same year, 2006). The winery has vineyards on the south shore of Lake Balaton, where the still wines are made, and they have a sparkling wine cellar in Budafok (a district of Budapest), where the bottle fermented sparkling wines age. In 2023 Mirjam Marton, Vencel’s granddaughter got more responsibility, and this is the year when her first own brand, Mimi Blanc de Blancs was released. The new limited edition brand, Vivante proves her ability again and the fact that she is a wothy to continue his grandfather’s legacy.

Mirjam moved to her new home at the time when she created Vivante. The new home served as inspiration, the beginning of a new era. This new place of ling is full of wood, and as she comments, wood is a living, ever changing material, just like a sparkling wine, born in the nature, depending on the climate, the soil, the vintage – depending on life.
Light yellow colour, intense bubbles, creamy foam. Subtle, mature nose with apple, lime, forest fruits and delicate yeasty notes. The palate reveals citrus fruits as well with notes of brioche. Lovely tartness, refreshingly dry sparkling wine with medium length. A sparkling wine to celebrate life.
