Cseri Winery
Pannonhalma wine region
Our estate, “CSERI,” is closely connected to the timeless symbol of the phoenix. This mythical creature reflects the spirit and philosophy of our winery. Inspired by the still relatively undiscovered wine region of Nyúl, in the Pannonhalma area, the name “Phoenix” was born. To rise like a phoenix — to be renewed and brought back to life — is a fitting metaphor for our journey.

Riesling rules
Riesling is a key variety for us, and we enjoy exploring its many faces. Within a single vintage, we produce several styles: a Mosel-inspired off-dry wine with residual sugar, a fresh stainless steel-fermented version, as well as barrel-aged and spontaneously fermented wines. This results in a diverse and exciting Riesling range to taste.
Some of our wines are aged in our old vaulted cellars, where time plays an important role in shaping their character. The result is a selection of wines in bright, beautiful colors — from pale gold through rosé to deep ruby — reminiscent of the phoenix’s feathers.

Wine tourism with a flexible approach
We warmly welcome guests for wine tastings and aim to stay flexible. On Friday and Saturday afternoons, we are open to even small groups of two, while for groups of ten or more, tastings can be arranged on any day of the week with prior notice. Tastings can be accompanied by light snacks or more substantial cold dishes, always discussed and arranged in advance.

BLABLA 2025
Playful, refreshing sparkling wine. Light and abundant in fruity aromas and flavours, with a pleasant and lingering finish.

Irsai Olivér 2025
An indigenous grape variety from the Muscat family, Irsai Olivér is an aromatic, light-structured wine—perfect for summer. It opens with a lovely floral bouquet of acacia and white blossoms, followed by fresh notes of crisp pomaceous fruit, vibrant citrus, and a hint of honeysuckle. Harvested early and briefly aged in stainless steel, this youthful wine is lively, refreshing, and pleasantly easy to drink.

Sauvignon Blanc 2025
The concentration of Tényő and the fruitiness of Szemere, along with the different harvest times, give this wine its complexity. Hand-harvested in small crates, it undergoes a few hours of skin maceration after destemming. The high limestone content of the soil results in playful, vibrant acidity. Concentrated yet fruity, complex thanks to the different harvest times, with lively, vibrant acidity.

II. Secundus Barni’s Riesling 2025

VII. Septimus Riesling 2023

Rosé 2025
A full-bodied rosé cuvée whose softness comes from Merlot, fruitiness from Kékfrankos (Blaufränkisch), and spiciness from Cabernet Franc. The grapes were hand-harvested in small crates and carefully selected specifically for rosé production. After destemming, they underwent a short skin maceration of a few hours, followed by gentle processing and fermentation in stainless steel, where the wine was aged on its fine lees.

Chanson 2021
A friendly red wine with fruity flavours and fine acid structure. Hand-harvested in early October in small crates. A true experience with serious potential.

Legenda 2020
The flagship red wine of the winery, hand-harvested in small crates at the end of October and aged for 18 months in oak barrels. It shows a deep, dark ruby colour, a complex, velvety structure, and a rich, juicy palate. Layers of nougat and caramel intertwine with ripe dark fruits and black cherries. A passionate, well-balanced wine with a long, elegant finish that irresistibly invites another sip. A serious, structured red wine with great ageing potential.
