We have reported the success of Barta Tokaji Aszús and single vineyard Barta Öreg Király Furmint several times. However, the estate is not only a producer of top wines, they are equally good at making affordable, easy to drink wines. British Decanter magazine collected some lovely wines under 20 GBP to pamper us on weekdays (November issue).

Barta Egy Kis Furmint 2019 (‘A Little Furmint’) is among the best ones in the section with 92 scores out 100. “A delightful introduction to dry Furmint, this will appeal to Sauvignon Blanc lovers in need of adventure. It’s very pale in colour, and made in a linear, restrained style. Fragrant, mineral and sun-kissed rocks. Would be perfect with monkfish risotto.” Well said:)
