Our “cover boy”: Tornai Aranyhegy Juhfark 2020, Somló
This wine was born from the vines of the Aranyhegy (meaning “Golden mountain’) vineyard, made with carefully selected ripe grapes and gentle processing. Barrel maturation further enriched the flavors, creating this special wine, available in a limited number of bottles.
A rocky, mineral character dominates the scent, with ripe, juicy pear and oaky barrel aromas mixed in the background. Extremely characteristic wine and rich in mineral notes. The taste is complex, exciting, varied, there is oakiness and ripe but rounded acidity behind the fruitiness. In its long finish there are vanilla, and creamy, fruity aromas. Great accompaniment with roast pork, matured cheeses and strongly seasoned poultry dishes.
