Wine list with personal touch
Szaletly has a really exciting wine list with mainly Hungarian wines. (The foreign wine selection also contains less known, but great wines like Eudald Massana Noya organic cava from Penedés, Spain or Kindzmarauli red wine from Georgia.
The majority of the Hungarian wines are available by the glass, and we can find great price –value offers like Giorgio, an aerated sparkling wine from Patricius (Tokaj), „Fröccsnekisjó” Olaszrizling from Borbély Family Winery (Badacsony) or Blanka Grüner Veltliner from Tűzkő Estate (Tolna).
The wine list boasts many of the top and most famous wine estates of Hungary, like Vylyan Vineyard and Winery (Villány), Kovács Nimród Winery (Eger), A Gere Winery (Villány), and even the “wine of the house” comes from a renowned estate: Szaletly Red is Bikavér blend by Tóth Ferenc Winery (Eger).
Small, artisan wineries also appear on the wine list, just to mention a few: Bukoly Marcell (Eger), Ipacs Szabó István (Villány), Pelle Cellar (Tokaj) and Csetvei Cellar (Mór).
Csetvei Ezerjó Amphora (in our cover photo)
Krisztina Csetvei is so passionate about Ezerjó, the flagship variety of the tiny Mór wine region, that she vinifies Ezerjó wine in several different ways: in barrel, stainless steel and in amphora. Szaletly offers Csetvei Ezerjó aged in amphora vintage 2021, a true, vibrant, refreshing Ezerjó from Vénhegy (‘Old Mountain’ vineyard), an organic vineyard of Csetvei Cellar. The fermentation took place spontaneously in amphoras after gentle pressing and the wine aged in the amphoras for 5 months.
(The current vintage on the webshop of the winery is 2022, and it is made with no filtration, no fining, no added sulphur – just pure Ezerjó.)

Csetvei wines are available in several countries:
Belgium (Roi de Rois), Italy (Vino Ungherese), Poland (Lutomski Vino), Slovakia (VinoBro Weisz), Switzerland (Boár Wines ), UK (Malux Hungarian Wine and Spirit), USA (Rooted Selections)
