Winemaker of the Year announced: Zsolt Liptai from Pannonhalma Archabbey Winery!
The most prestigious title of Hungarian wine life is given out annually at the end of the year. The process of the election begins with the nomination period: influencers, wine writers are asked to name the winemaker of their choice and then members of Hungarian Wine Academy vote for one of the 5 candidates (the canditates are those who receive the most nominations). The 5 candidates this year: József Lamport (Thummerer Winery, Eger), Zsolt Liptai (Pannonhalma Archabbey Winery), Attila Szentpéteri (Kunság), István Szepsy Jr (Tokaj), Csaba Vesztergombi (Szekszárd).
The winner is Zsolt Liptai!
