Decanted Hungary in London on 16 October
Trade and press tasting with 50+ Hungarian wines
Wines of Hungary UK awaits press and trade members at a special tasting organised in co-operation with the Embassy of Hungary in London, to celebrate the DWWA award-winning Hungarian wines.
Launched in 2022, the “Decanted Hungary” initiative aims to raise awareness of the outstanding Hungarian wines awarded at the Decanter World Wine Awards. The tasting will feature 50+ wines from dozen of the most awarded wineries, including Gold, Platinum and the 2024 DWWA Best-in-Show medal winner 2019 Gizella 6 puttonyos Aszú.
The walk-around tasting this year will celebrate the achievements of Hungarian winemakers and serve as an opportunity not only to meet the winery representatives showcasing the wines, but also to explore the sales potential of these exceptional and unique products introduced by Caroline Gilby MW, Decanter World Wine Award’s Joint Regional Chair for Central & Eastern Europe.

Decanted Hungary is part of the “Hungarian Week in London” events, a “Great Taste of Hungary” show, with the Great Taste Awards winner Hungarian fine food delicacies also held at the venue.
This will be a one-of-a kind event celebrating Hungarian wines and gastronomy with joint efforts from producers, importers, distributors.
